I was referred to Mr Malahias for a skin cancer on my upper lip. He collected me in person from the waiting room to take me for surgery. Although very nervous,he put me at ease,talking me through procedure and explaining what was happening throughout. His kindness.sensitivity and sense of humour made me feel more relaxed and has resulted in a very positive outcome,with a very neat scar which will fade over time. He is an asset to Good Hope Hospital and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. I was told prior to seeing him,that he was " lovely " and had a good reputation, both of which I heartily endorse.

Referred urgently by a dermatologist for the excision of two suspect skin tumours. Consultation and surgical procedure within 5 days . Mr Malahias's technique proved to be quite different and superior to that which I had witnessed at a previous clinic. The clinical result and lack of scaring excellent.

I have been a day patient on 2 occasions in the last 12months treated by Mr Malahias. First occasion was in June 2019 for a deep biopsy on my leg... I was very nervous of the procedure as I have been fortunate enough not to have had any surgery in my 59 years. From admission through to release from day care Mr Malahias was excellent. He explained in detail what would happen. I trusted him from the outset . His interpersonal skills and genuine approach made me feel at ease. He shows compassion and appropriate humour which really helped. The outcome was positive and am now being treated appropriately. In January this year I was referred to Mr Malahias again for surgery on my upper lip. Again a tricky procedure but I felt confident that having been previously been treated by Mr Malahias I would be in very capable hands. I was not disappointed. His consistent caring approach and dedication to his area of expertise has resulted in a positive outcome. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Malahias and thank him and his wonderful team for caring for me.

In April 2019 I underwent facial reconstruction surgery following sepsis.In March this year I had day surgery. Both undertaken by Mr Malahias. I cannot praise his skill and compassion high enough. I felt totaly at ease by his careing and professional nature throughout both procedures and the positive end results speak for themselves. Plastic surgery on any area of the body can be worrying and daunting, Mr Malahias totaly gained my trust by his careing and compassionate attitude, he was very positive and explained everything to me clearly at all times. I have been very fortunate to have been his patient and cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone who may be having to consider this type of surgery.

Totally caring, compassionate and treats his patients as relatives. My Mum, bless her was totally in awe of him. Highly thought of. (My Mum passed in 2016, and the comfort and care shown to my Mum and myself will never be forgotten)
